Ingredients
- Mixed berries: You can use either fresh or frozen berries in this recipe. I like to use a mix of different berries, but you can just use strawberries or blackberries or whatever your kids’ favorites are! Berries are loaded with lots of different vitamins and minerals. They contain lots of antioxidants as well as fiber.
- Plain yogurt: I prefer to use plain yogurt in this recipe, but you can also use Greek or a vanilla-flavored yogurt if you prefer. Yogurt is a great source of protein, calcium and vitamin B.
- Honey: Honey is a great way to add natural sweetness without the need for refined sugar. If you can, use a raw or natural honey that is richer in antioxidants. Using honey instead of sugar will help you to avoid those dreaded sugar highs!
- Granola: You can make your own granola or use your favorite store-bought variety. If you buy a store-bought one, try add get one with a low amount of added sugars. Granola is made with nuts and seeds that are high in protein and fiber.
Allergy Substitutions

Tips for Making the Best Yogurt Bark
- Size of Baking Dish: you can use 9 x 9″, 9 x 13″ or any baking sheet you have on hand. The thickness of the bark will be determined by the size pan you use. I used a 9 x 9″ in this recipe, which made the bark pretty thick, and did not deter my kids whatsoever.
- Toppings: …don’t skimp!
- Freezing Time: Let the bark freeze for at least 4 to 5 hours, but it’s best to freeze overnight if you can.
- Storage: Store the yogurt bark in an airtight container and keep it in the freezer for up to 1 month. Be sure to store it in the freezer, or it can turn back into a liquid.
